Q&A with Casey Reas
A few months ago I dreamed of talking to Casey Reas, one of the two masterminds behind Processing, about the process of creating the software that is in many ways my most important tool today. In early August, I suddenly got a message from him on Instagram asking if I would do something to celebrate Processing’s twentieth anniversary. Of course, I immediately said yes. In addition, Casey offered to do a live Q&A session, which made me enormously happy.
Casey has been a highly interesting personality to me for many years. With all his energy, he has been pushing Processing along with Ben Fry (and many other important figures) for the past 20 years.
In the session we will talk about the development of the software, the values behind it, mistakes and successes. And also about teaching and Feral File, his new platform for digital art.
