The capabilities of web-technologies changed drastically in the last 10 years. New open-source tools enable programmers to develop enterprise-level applications with just HTML, CSS and Javascript. More and more software-products popup on the market to compete and subverse the major players, who felt safe in their monopoly positions for decades.
